BBC Stories has created a video exploring why mornings can be so difficult for people living with depression.
More than just the ‘Monday Blues’, the film explains the biological reasons behind low moods in the morning and also features input from author Jayne Hardy on the daily realities of living with a mental health issue.
The video also shares tips on how to make the mornings easier, such as:
Concentrating on the little things – e.g making a cup of tea
Put on a song you love
Looking forward to one thing that might happen that day
