BBC Breakfast weather presenter Carol Kirkwood donned a black and white striped prisoner’s costume to lip sync to Banarama’s Love In The First Degree in celebration of the 1980s girl band’s appearance on the show.
She joined her fellow presenters to dance along to some of the pop group’s biggest hits in a special video in honour of their visit to the studio.
Carol then energetically danced around the screen to the 1987 hit Love In The First Degree, bouncing up and down and waving her arms.
The video ended with Steph, Dan Walker and Louise Minchin sitting on the back of the famous red sofa singing along to Robert De Niro’s Waiting, with Steph wearing a blonde wig with a large bow and Dan brandishing a pink inflatable microphone.
Earlier this week, Bananarama announced a second London show after selling out their comeback gig in the capital.
The trio recently revealed they are reuniting for a UK tour, with a show set for the Eventim Apollo on November 19.
The concert sold out shortly after tickets went on sale on Wednesday morning, and the band have now said they will perform at the same venue on November 20.
The group – comprised of Sara Dallin, Keren Woodward and Siobhan Fahey – sold 40 million records and last performed together at the Brit Awards in 1988.
Other stops on the tour – which kicks off on November 12 – include Glasgow, Newcastle, York and Manchester.
The singers have said they will be treating fans to “all the hits”.
