Watch: International students share their experiences of studying in Scotland

WHILE Scotland might have a reputation for being grey, cold and ‘dreich’, a new video has been published by Universities Scotland which celebrates the warm welcome international students receive here.

Called ‘Scotland’s Universities Welcome the World’, the video interviews students from China, Malaysia, Germany, San Francisco, India and Nigeria and more and explores how they’ve found making new friends and the Scottish culture.

The students discuss the things they do to remind them of home, and share the Scottish phrases they’ve picked up, like ‘wee’, ‘dinnae ken’ and ‘braw’.
