WHILE London and the south of England have sweltered in temperatures up to around 33 degrees, temperatures have been cooler and more habitable north of the border.
Today is set to be sunny and dry for most of Scotland, but cloud will develop in the evening.
A yellow weather warning is in place for the Borders, Dumfries and Galloway and the Lothians as heavy rain is expected from the early hours of Wednesday with thunderstorms.
Light rain is likely in the rest of the country through Wednesday, although temperatures will remain warm and it’ll feel quite humid, especially in Glasgow and the west.
It’ll feel fresher by the end of the week with temperatures dropping and more clouds.
