IT’S looking like bad news if you were hoping for some spring temperatures this week.
Just as we thought it was starting to warm up again after the winter misery of the past few weeks, the mercury is set to drop again in the coming days.
Cold winds blowing in from the east will see temperatures drop back down to near freezing by the weekend.
In some parts of the country, the wind will make it feel as low as -9C.
The cold snap may well last into next week and there is likely to be at least some snow in parts of the UK.
In the video above, Met Office presenter Alex Deakin explains where and why it’s likely to get much colder.
The Met Office say they’re unable to confirm at the moment where in the UK the potentially heavy snow will hit.
