THE holiday weekend is set to be a little warmer than the past few days.
The Arctic air that has brought chilly temperatures and even snow in the past week will disappear, and mild sunshine is forecast across Scotland.
Saturday looks set to be dry and bright, with temperatures set to reach a high of 15 degrees.
Sunday will be a breezier day but the sun will still be shining.
Compared to the rest of the UK, Scotland will remain relatively dry across the weekend and into the bank holiday Monday.

Even better weather is set to arrive later in the week, with sunshine and higher temperatures forecast from Tuesday onwards.
Look out the flip flops, especially if you're in west. Looking good next week. I reckon somewhere on northwest coast could get close to 20C. pic.twitter.com/CRfkRUkhot

The outlook for the UK as a whole
Becoming milder on Saturday as winds will originate from the south, with just a few showers however remaining mostly cloudy.
Fresh winds over Ireland, but generally gentle elsewhere. Windy on Sunday and there are indications that southern parts of the UK could see a showery day, whereas regions further north should cling onto largely drier conditions.
