Media personality, socialite, businesswoman – and one of the most famous people in the world. Khloe Kardashian has more on her plate than the late great Pavarotti these days.
I caught up with the member of the most famous family on the planet – other than our very own Windsors – for a chat.
She and her pal Scott Disick – you’ll know him if you watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians – were chatting last week about their own TV shows.
Scott is doing Flip It Like Disick, a property show. Khloe is doing Revenge Body on E!, which is a guilty pleasure of mine.
Revenge Body is about people who have gone through a negative experience in life turning it around. Most often, the stories are to do with bad breakups. The idea is people who have been dumped want to look and feel their best to make the other person jealous – that’s where Revenge Body comes from. In terms of getting back in shape, Khloe looked incredible. Last time we spoke, she was fit to pop with her first baby – which she named True Thompson. She told me being a mum is life-changing.
“Oh my gosh, it’s so amazing,” she beamed. “And I love her so much. But time goes so fast when you’re watching a little human grow. It’s scary, because I’m still 25…”
The last comment was said with a twinkle in her eye. It was Khloe’s 35th birthday last week and I wanted to know if she viewed it as a landmark birthday.
“I don’t want to reflect,” she laughed. “I guess it’s one of those moments where you just bury your head in the sand. It’s okay, everything’s fine.
“I’m enjoying life right now. I’m enjoying spending time with the baby and the family and everything. So life is good. So doesn’t matter what age you are. I keep telling myself this…”
Khloe really became famous through Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but I’ve always said she is the one member of that particular family with her feet on the ground.
“It’s important not to get caught up in any of this,” she explained. “Because all of this is a little bit of smoke and mirrors, but it’s all such a blessing at the same time.
“And we have to be so present and appreciative of every minute. And I think if you have that mindset, then you’re good no matter what you do.”
Khloe revealed this latest series of Revenge Body surprised her.
“I’m really proud there’s a lot of men this season because it shows just a different side to revenge body,” she said.
“This gentleman who was an ex-gang member.
“His father was a gang member and stopped talking to him because he wouldn’t actively be in a gang.
“And he ends up going on this journey to lose weight and you know, show his dad that he there’s more to life than just being a gang member.”
