Woman injured in Milngavie fire discharged from hospital

A WOMAN seriously injured in a fire which killed her boyfriend on New Year’s Day has been discharged from hospital.
Rebecca Williams, 24, was initially in a critical condition following the blaze at her boyfriend Cameron Logan’s family home in Milngavie, East Dunbartonshire.
She has now been discharged from hospital, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde said.
Blair Logan, 26, appeared in court on Monday charged with murdering his brother and was remanded in custody.
He was also charged with assault to severe injury, danger to life and attempted murder when he appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court.
Ms Williams, a broadcast journalist with Global Radio, was rescued from the Achray Place house and was initially treated at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow before being moved to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
Mr Logan’s parents were taken to hospital and treated for smoke inhalation. The family dog Gomez died in the fire.
Cameron Logan, 23, was a psychology student.
