AUTHOR Irvine Welsh has revealed he is getting divorced from his second wife.
The Trainspotting writer, 59, announced last year he had split with his American wife Beth Quinn, who is 23 years his junior, after almost 15 years together. It has now emerged the couple will divorce.
Florida-based Welsh said separation had been both traumatising and liberating: “It has not been easy for either of us.”
He also dismissed comments made previously that his new novel Dead Men’s Trousers, the fifth in the Trainspotting series, will be his final Trainspotting book.
“I might change my mind already,” he said. “Yeah, there will be another one.”
