Something went wrong - please try again later. Sign Up The man was shot by officers at around 12:15 this afternoon in Bankfaulds Avenue, Kilbirnie, Ayrshire. Earlier this morning, around 5:30am, the man barricaded himself within a property in Bankfaulds Avenue. The stand-off between the man and police lasted seven hours Following the shooting this afternoon, he has been taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock for treatment. The Assistant Chief Constable Malcolm Graham said the man’s injuries are not considered serious, nor life threatening. No other people were injured during the incident. “Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with this incident.
