Something went wrong - please try again later. Sign Up Rocky Taylor, a friend of 40 years standing, said the former BBC Radio 1 DJ and Crackerjack presenter died in a Bournemouth hospital. The BBC said Mr Taylor said he had been informed of his death by Mr Stewart’s ex-wife Chiara. Mr Stewart’s former brother in law Adriano Henney tweeted to say the DJ had died after a short illness. The DJ was much loved for his stint as presenter of the kids’ TV show Crackerjack during the 1970s which was massive hit with kids.
