Christine Martin dropped from a size 20 to a 10 after seeing an unflattering holiday snap where her tummy was spilling over a pair of tight-fitting shorts.
The 35-year-old accounts clerk saw her weight soar to almost 15 stone thanks to a diet of chocolate buttons, chips and crisps.
But now she’s shopping for a new wedding gown so she can cut a svelte dash during her marriage to long-term partner Alex Sweaton, 39, a construction worker, in September.
“It was only when I saw a holiday picture of myself spilling over a chair in super stretchy shorts that the truth hit me.”
She lost some weight to squeeze into a size 18 wedding dress that cost a three-figure-sum, but still wasn’t happy.
“There’s nowhere to hide in a wedding dress,” she added.
After an attempt to shed the pounds with slimming pills failed, she turned to Scottish Slimmers and dropped to her target weight of 9 stone 7lb.
“It was tough but my diet and life have had a major overhaul,” said Christine, of Irvine, North Ayrshire.
“I will feel like a model walking down the aisle,” said the mum of Chloe, three, and William, 20 months.
A spokesman for Scottish Slimmers said: “We get a huge thrill out of transforming mums like Christine.”
