Brothers Garry and Jason Rendall tested out the meaty treats on their customers in Alva, Clackmannanshire. Now they’re being inundated with orders for the food which is infused with the flavour of the famous tonic wine. Jason said: “The demand has been unbelievable. We started out making small Buckfast pies a while ago, just as a novelty. “But when they took off, we thought about marinating other cuts of meat too. “We’ve just kept adding products and each one’s been a winner sausages, pulled pork, Buckfast barbecue packs and family-sized pies. “When we launched it on Facebook, we got 13,000 hits in the first two days.” Enjoy the convenience of having The Sunday Post delivered as a digital ePaper straight to your smartphone, tablet or computer.
