A vintage VW which was Mark Owen’s wedding car will tour Scotland as part of the independence referendum ‘yes’ vote push.
A Volkswagen camper van with a unique history will add some vintage style to a touring troupe of pro-independence artists and campaigners around Scotland this summer.
The VW van, affectionately known as ‘Lesley’ by its owner, already has an interesting history having been Take That member Mark Owen’s wedding car and previously featuring on BBC2’s countryside programme Landward.

It is one of the vehicles that will be used by National Collective members as they tour Scotland’s cities, towns and islands in July as part of the month-long Yestival celebrations.
The tour will travel to every city in Scotland, as well as towns and villages around the country and reaching the Western Isles, Orkney and Shetland.
‘Lesley’ will be joined by a tour bus, cars and an airstream trailer as it serves as a travelling bedroom for the musicians, artists and activists of National Collective, the cultural campaign for independence.
Yestival organiser Andrew Barr said: “We’re delighted to be able to take this beautiful vintage van with us as we take the independence message across Scotland.
“The VW van is an iconic cultural image that is immediately associated with fun, adventure and travel and so it’s perfect for what we’re trying to achieve.”
The van is owned by Bo’ness based Classic Campervans Scotland and has since been repainted.
Yestival takes place throughout July.
