Footage of the Glasgow School of Art fire that ripped through the world-famous building.
Firefighters who battled a blaze at the Glasgow School of Art’s Charles Rennie Mackintosh building have stated that more than 90% of the structure is “viable”.
Indications are that they also protected up to 70% of the contents, according to the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. It is not known which artworks have been saved.
The institution is one of Europe’s leading art schools, while the listed Mackintosh-designed building is a tourist attraction in its own right and one of Scotland’s most “iconic” structures.
The blaze took hold at Glasgow School of Art’s Charles Rennie Mackintosh building on Friday.
