Emma Watson spends an awful lot of her time answering one of two questions.
The first is: “What are your plans now Harry Potter has finished?”
The other is: “My, haven’t you grown up?” which isn’t really a question at all!
Since the multi-million pound film franchise based on JK Rowling’s books finished, journalists want to know what Emma will do next.
They also seem a bit incredulous that she’s turned from wee Hermoine into a stunning young woman.
Knowing she’d be fielding these two questions all day, I decided to avoid them completely when we met last week.
It seemed to work Emma and I had a right good laugh when we sat down to chat about her role as Ila in Darren Aronofsky’s Biblical epic, Noah.
Afterwards, Emma’s press lady said I had been her favourite interview of the day, which I was quite chuffed about.
Half the battle when interviewing someone is to establish a rapport.
Emma was absolutely stunning she’s been a style icon for a while now.
“Fashion is a huge part of my job. I have to show up for events to promote my work. It’s a huge part of what I do so I try to do it well,” she told me.
“I’ve done it from a very young age. It’s really fun and expressive. I love working with up-and-coming designers.”
I’ve no doubt Emma will become a national treasure, but unfortunately it might be a Gallic one!
“Yes, I was born in France! It was in Paris I lived there until I was five. But I think of myself as English.
“Maybe that’s where I got the fashion stuff? Perhaps I just absorbed it as a baby I got my French chic in the womb!
“I think I got it from my mum, she’s quite fashionable. In fact, she’s the reason why I cut my hair short. She did it first.”
With lots of flooding and animals, I told Emma Noah looked rather uncomfortable to film.
“It was intense. We were wet and cold for a long time,” she said. “They released 5,000 gallons of water per minute on our heads at one point. But it looks amazing and was all worth it.”
Emma hit the headlines last month after it was revealed she fell ill while filming. Director Darren Aronofksy banned bottled water from the set, which left the cast a little thirsty.
“It’s true, I was quite sick,” Emma cringed. “I did this stupid thing because Darren banned water bottles you can’t make a film about environmentalism and then create a load of trash!
“So I drank from a stagnant water tank and got very ill. It was very stupid. The water they used for the big scenes couldn’t be warm as it steams and doesn’t look real.”
Talking of steamy, there are a few hot and heavy scenes between Emma and her co-star, Douglas Booth.
“They didn’t seem very steamy when they were doing them!” said Emma.
“We had to run towards each other and form in this perfect kiss.
“We were fine for the first four or five takes, but after a while we were just nutting each other!
“My lip was bleeding and I hurt Doug’s nose it was not pretty at all.”
