I’ll either be gloating insufferably again next week, or I’ll maybe try to not mention it in the hope you’ll all just forget. It’ll be close in the Best Movie category, but the innovative Boyhood has enough youthful verve to send Birdman flying. Meanwhile Scot Julianne Moore is still brilliant she’ll win Best Actress for Still Alice. You’re buying money if you bet on J.K. Simmons and Patricia Arquette in the Best Supporting Actress category for Whiplash and Boyhood. And although my heart says Eddie Redmayne will win Best Actor, my head reckons Michael Keaton’s comeback story will sway the judges his way. Good luck to all of them!
