More than two-thirds of Scots think Alex Salmond should spell out a “Plan B” on what currency an independent Scotland should use.
A total of 69% of respondents to a new Survation opinion poll said the Scottish Government should draw up alternative plans in case a monetary union with what remains of the UK doesn’t happen.
This is up from 65% when the same question was asked in February and includes 56% of Yes voters.
On Saturday, Mr Salmond said “Plan B” on currency arrangements for an independent Scotland “implies settling for what’s second best” and insisted there will be a deal on a currency union with the rest of the UK.
