Nigel farage was let down by “technical difficulties” as he tried to address a conference in Glasgow yesterday.
The UKIP leader was unable to broadcast to the party’s campaign launch event via video-link after the system failed to work. Candidates gathered at the Renfield Centre to discuss their push for seats north of the Border ahead of May’s General Election.
Despite the embarrassing glitch, party members have vowed to field candidates in every seat in Scotland.
MEP David Coburn the party’s only elected member in Scotland said: “We intend to get as many as we can.”
