ROBBIE NEILSON has continued reshaping his Hearts squad after tying up the captures of Conor Sammon and Faycal Rherras.

The Hearts head coach has completed the double signing a day after snaring former Kilmarnock and Dundee United forward Robbie Muirhead on a free transfer.

Striker Sammon – another former Killie frontman – joins the club after his contract at Derby expired and has penned a three-year contract at Tynecastle.

And Neilson has secured a new left-back after adding Faycal to his squad following a successful period at Belgian side Sint-Truiden, where he made 49 appearances over two seasons.

Both players could make their Jambos debuts when the Gorgie men kick-off their Europa League campaign on June 30.

Neilson told the club’s official website: “I’m delighted to get both players to Tynecastle.

“Conor brings a lot of experience to the squad. He knows the Scottish game well after a successful period at Kilmarnock and has played at the highest level down in England.

“Faycal is a player with real potential and will be a big boost to the defence. He’s played at a good level in Belgium and has been involved in the Moroccan international scene so it’s quite a coup to get him.

“Both players will add a lot to the squad and I’m looking forward to working with them.”
